Can you afford a bad web site?

Whatever your business, web design quality is critical. A poorly constructed web site poorly represents your business and will likely harm it. Yes, creating a web site is very easy, but creating a really good web site is difficult. A perfect web site is a sum of many factors:
  • Business concept. A good business web site always delivers a message: “Look at our business! It is outstanding! We can do our job better than someone else; therefore, you need us!” If the concept doesn’t carry a clear and concise business model, such a message becomes vague and will hardly generate Internet leads.
  • Excellent design. First, design should reflect your business area and style. Second, design has to take into account psychology of your potential clients, their behavioral properties and even a proper combination of colors most welcomed for that group. Third, design should always be up-to-date. Like fashion styles, web design styles change continuously; a fantastic site created five years ago is hardly attracting today.
  • Latest technologies. A quality web site always incorporates the latest technologies: software frameworks, multimedia solutions and so on. Today, a simple static web site with a few flat pages is no longer acceptable for any respected corporation.
A question whether a web site is good enough comes down to a simple answer: “If your web site doesn’t generate a solid flow of Internet leads, it is not good, something is wrong.” Remember that a weak web site is even worse than no site at all, as it may harm your business. Can you afford to harm your business?
